The other day, I stumbled upon an amazing overview of all Windows Vista Services and great in-depth details about them.
On this site you can find out all about a particular service, wit it's used for, if it is required by any other service, and should you disable it.
Just an overwhelming overview - great if you need to speed up your computer by disabling couple of not-needed services.
